childjustice.org.za is written and edited independently. We are glad to hear from readers, and there are three things we particularly want.

Corrections

If something we have published is wrong, tell us what and where. We would rather fix a piece than defend it, and corrections are made on the page itself rather than quietly.

Story suggestions

We cover children’s rights, child protection, children’s sport, children’s art and children’s play, with a South African centre of gravity. Practitioners — probation officers, teachers, coaches, social workers, paediatricians, magistrates — see things a newsroom does not. If a rule is being applied badly, or unusually well, we would like to know.

Suspected abuse or neglect can also be reported to a designated child protection organisation or to the provincial Department of Social Development.
